Living Sustainably Along the Lakeshore: Planting and Saving Seeds

The next event offered through the Living Sustainably Along the Lakeshore community series will be: Planting and Saving Seeds. Sustainable homesteader and Small House Farm proprietor, Ben Cohen, will visit Herrick District Library and talk about his passion for growing food and why planting and saving seeds is essential to a sustainable lifestyle. Ben is an heirloom seed activist and educator. He will explain basic and intermediate seed saving techniques. Seeds will be given away (while supplies last) to attendees. This event coincides with the launch of Herrick’s seed saving library.
