On Saturday, June 21, some of the WSN community joined a bike ride fundraiser. This was the final leg of the RESTORING OUR CITIES (ROC) ride across Michigan. The ride began in Detroit and cross the state all the way to Benton Harbor, with the goal of raising funds and awareness of for community development work. Riders from our neighborhood in Holland joined many other organizations for a great day of cycling, from Holland to Douglas, and then on to Benton Harbor.
The cyclists raised $1000 made of pledges donated by people in our community and beyond, and will be invested back right into our neighborhood through Washington School Neighbors. A big, grateful shout-out to riders and donors alike!
